From 1811-1837, two Lutheran ministers, Joseph Doering and Georg Wartman served a circuit of churches in this area. Wartman died in 1837; he was born Nove. 29, 1793 according to his tombstone at Jordan Lutheran Church. Doering left PA to go to Ohio with his son; he is buried in Casstown Cemetery, d. July 14, 1843, age 56. I am trying to find out where these "little ministers" as they were affectionately called were born. They are supposed to be brothers-in-law. Any help will be greatly appreciated and acknowledged.
