Dear Lutheran Roots: I am researching for the 250th anniversary of Ziegels Union Church in Breinigsville, PA. I have been trying to trace the history of our ministers back to 1750. I am seeking information on the birthplaces of two of our Lutheran ministers, Georg Wartman and Joseph Doring, who were active in this area from 1811-1837, when Wartman died. Doring then moved to Casstown, OH and I have located his grave in the Casstown Cemetery. According to their tombstones, Wartman was born Nov. 29, 1793 and Doring was born in 1787. The two are said to have been related by marriage of a half or step sister. Any help you can give me in locating their birthplaces would be greatly appreciated and acknowledged.
