    1. [LUTHERAN-ROOTS-L] Philadelphia Lutheran cemetery list
    2. To Sheila, There was a small list written up at the time of the first reinterment which was printed in a Philadelphia newspaper. A copy of the news article is at the German Society of PA at 611 Spring Garden Street, Phila. This list was also microfilmed by the Latter Day Saints and is the last item on film number 1312258. If your Koch family were members of St. Michael's and/or Zion Lutheran Churches in Philadelphia, they were probably listed in the Marriages, Baptisms and Burials recorded on that film as well as film numbers 1312256, 1312257 and 1312259. These films cover 1742 to the late 1800's, if memory serves. Both churches were torn down, but there are pictures in John F. Watson's "Annals of Philadelphia" published in 1872, which has Birch's etchings of them, and photos of them in "Colonial Churches and Meeting Houses", a book that might be found in historical society libraries. There are also models of these churches at the Krauth Library, 7301 Germantown Ave., Philadelphia. The Krauth Library holds the original records from these churches as well as many others in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Best of luck in your research. Jim Lawrence
