    3. Hi All, I sure need some help. I'm hopeing some one out there can supply the guidence I need. August 9, 1889 Carl (age 33) and Dorothea (age 26) Struck and their son, my father, Karl William Struck (age 6) arrived in New York from Bremen, Germany on the ship S.S.Eider. According to my fathers Social Security documents he was born in Berlin Germany, although he always said my ancestors were Prussion. The only religion that was followed in the United States and I assume Germany, was Lutheran. Some of the data that I'm trying to discover is: What was my grandfather Carl Struck's parents names, dates and places of birth? Did Carl Struck have any siblings? If so, what was their names and birthdates? What was my grandmother Dorothea Huhn's parents names, dates and places of birth? Did Dorothea Huhn have any siblings? If so, what was their names and birthdates? When and where did my grandparents Carl Struck and Dorothea Huhn get married? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. Karl

    3. Karl, You need to start with some census research to see if your family stayed in New York. If they did a later census report will give you a list of other sibs which would have been born into the family. The following is a ship mailing list you may want to subscribe to, it's free. TheShipsList-L-request@rootsweb.com You may find info about the ship, which port it sailed from etc. It may give you a lead back to the old country where your family came from. Good luck, Alice At 02:28 PM 10/20/00 -0400, you wrote: >Hi All, > >I sure need some help.
