Looking for information on the Neumann Family from Kalthof, West Prussia and the Witt Family from Obernessau, West Prussia. Johann Neumann married Elizabeth Mutz - they were believed to be of the Lutheran Faith. They had nine children. The oldest of which was my gr gr grandfather Karl Heinrich Neumann b. 3-5-1859 in Kalthof, West Prussia. (His other 8 eight siblings are unknown) Karl would immigrate to America approx 1883 with his friend Johann Thimm. After coming to America he joined the Mennonite Church and married Henrietha Elisabeth Witt b. 3-11-1858 in Obernessau, West Prussia. Also believed to be originally of the Lutheran Faith. They settled in Kansas and Oklahoma. Henrietta was the daughter of Adam Witt and Karolina Braun. Adam was a forestry worker who had a tree fall on him and he died early leaving Karolina to raise the children alone. They had the following children: 1) Margaret Witt 2) Augusta Witt 3) Wilhemina Witt 4) Annie Witt 5) Henrietha Witt b. 3-11-1858 6) Eva Witt b. March 22, 1860 Married: Andreas Kliewer 7) Karl Witt b. 1866 Married: Viola Foster. Henrietha, Eva, & Karl all came to America. What happened to the other siblings is unknown.
