    3. Posted on: Lutheran Roots Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/Special/LutheranRoots/68 Surname: DEBUS, WEIDNER, RAUSCH, KOCH ------------------------- Please look up these four surnames, particularly DeBus. I am researching Jacob, Lodwick, Daniel and Baldt DeBus who came here from Germany in the early 1700's from Baden. I also am researching Johann Weidner and Johann Adam Rausch who also came here in the early 1700's also from the Palatine area. Jacob DeBusk helped build the first Lutheran Church in Philadelphia and is buried there somewhere. I am trying to find the father of two ancestors, Elijah and Elisha DeBusk, who I believe to be Jacob's sons who migrated with Paulser Rouse and John Widener (as they were written when they got to VA)on the valley road to SW VA. Later Adam Koch migrated to NE NC with his children. Please help me find records of these people. Thank you.

    3. Roger (& Cynthia also), Normally you would need to either post your reply on the board or contact the poster directly, because in most cases the persons who post on the board are NOT subscribers to the list. However, Marian does subscribe to the digest mode. But this is just a reminder that, generally speaking, you will need to reply to a board post by also making a board post or by contacting the poster directly -- which is possible via the information given below. You are in luck this time in that Marian does subscribe to the digest version of this list, and so will at some point see your message. But that is not necessarily always going to be the case. -- Mary Taffet List Admin for LUTHERAN-ROOTS mdtaffet@syr.edu "RHOADS, Roger" wrote: > > Marian, > I'm assuming you mean 18th c. (1700s).
