I believe this has to be the Lemuel Lud that was b in 1747 in CT and m Hopestill Truscott. He later moved up to VT and had a family there one of whom was another Lemuel ( served in War 1812 and d in 1823 ) and who was awarded a land grant which the father ended up with after Lem Jr d. The father later moved to OH where he shows in records on many occasions.
