The City of Woodstock, Ontario will be naming a new city park after Levi Ludington one of their early settlers . Levi arrived from Dutchess Co. NY in late 1799 and was granted 200 ac of land in June of 1800. Woodstock itself was not even named until about 30 years later and it was named after the hometown in England of a British admiral who retired here and brought many settlers with him The park will be officially named "Ludington Park" at 1:30 pm, Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018 and all are welcome to attend. The park itself is located in the North/East section of the city in a new subdivision. Those needing directions can contact me at the sending address above. Ron Ludington
