I have found many, many sites on the battles of Sackett Harbour and the surrounding areas but none of them mention light artillery units for the US. Lots of British and Canadian. Had a thought. During the American Civil War there were quite a few brother vs brother, son vs father, etc situations. Has anyone researched the idea that some of the Ludington/Luddington ancestors from England were in the service to the king during the War of Independence and perhaps fought against some of the Luds who were fighting for independence?
