They did have will on Pierson: Samuel, Janette, Alanzo, Frederick in Dutchess All: I have a copy of Comfort Ludington's Will in Short he Mentions having 5 sons 6 Daughters Sons names are Thomas, Zalmon (wife Elizabeth) Comfor, De La Fyete, and Zebe Daughters Mary Carly, Elenor Dab, Elizabeth Mooney, Charlotte Dab, Ann-----, And Senith There was a will for Daniel Ludington but the will was missing from the file do you know who he is Ron? Seems Joseph is definatelly not the son of Joseph Mary
Without knowing the will dates for Daniel I would be guessing at who he was. There are several Daniel Ludingtons in Dutchess/Putnam co history but most were offspring ot Joseph Ludington who first appears in the 1820 NY census along with Comfort, the son of Comfort. and both those resided near Pawling Twp. The 11 kids of Comfort agree with my notes too. The Dutchess curse strikes again!!
