Levi Luddington , Rachels's g/g/g/g/grandfather,and his son Alvah Luddington, may have fought the American Invaders at the battle of Lundy's Lane or at Queeston Heights (now both part of Ontario) in the War of 1812 as they had been in Upper Canada for 12 years by then and were in a local militia unit not far from those places; however no military records are available to us even today.
