Speaking of newspapers.... not only are their the newspaper notifications, which now can be found in the digital newspapers, but I am seeing also monthly articles on the Surrogate's Court telling what wills are being probated, heirs listed, judicial settlements, etc. The trick, when searching online digital newspapers, is don't stop with the index, if you don't find the item. If you know an article is recurring, use the browse feature and look through the complete paper. For notice of probate, search the likely dates for the papers being published near the hometown. It takes a little extra time and it is worth it when you find what you need. That is very good to know. Sometimes a simple thing like a newspaper clippings notifying the families that the will is to be probated is full of info. Mar
