    3. Would appreciate any further information about Mary Ludington and her husbands. She was the daughter of Col. Henry Ludington, b. 31 Jul 1765, sister of the famous Sybil Ludington. Mary md. 1) 12 Sep 1785 David TRAVIS md 2) ____ COLWELL, and md 3) Asahel GILBERT I'm most interested in Mary and Asahel Gilbert while they were in Poughkeepsie. Does anyone know where she was buried? They were together in the Poughkeepsie census for 1840, and Asahel was in New York City in 1845, but apparently widowed again by 1847. I have a lot of info on Ashael, but no further information on her first two husbands or any issue. Please respond to me directly at thom.carlson@stanfordalumni.org, since I'm not a subscriber.
