    3. This shud be of interest to Nancy Hammer as this fellow, Albert C, was the son of George A Lud, a bro to her g/g/grandfather Alfred. Seems that Albert C moved from WI to MI and then to IN where many of the cousins lived? Albert C was also the inventor of the snare drum for which he he held a patent. (18? July 1870 – 6? Feb. 1936) Albert C. Ludington, 65, a veteran of the Spanish-American war who became a resident of Elkhart in 1914 died at 10:15 today at his home, 401 West Jefferson Street. In poor health for a year, he became bed-fast three weeks ago. After locating in Elkhart, Mr. Ludington was an employee of the Crow Motor Car Co., and later was employed by the Buescher Band instrument Co., and for the last seven years by Miles Laboratories, Inc. He was a member of Kane Lodge, F. & A. M. Elkhart, and of the Camp of Modern Woodmen of America at Ishpeming, Mich. He lived in Ishpeming 15 years before coming to Elkhart. He was born in Black River Falls, Wis., on July 18, 1870, the son of Captain George A. and Mary (Teller) Ludington. His marriage to Minnie E. Silsbey took place May 26, 1893, at Neillsville, Wis. She survives with two children, Harold E. Ludington of 154 Middlebury street and Mrs. Lucille Cressler, at the parental home.
