I wrote to the Clinton County Genealogical Society, trying to get a copy of the permission Lafayette brought but the current genealogist is new and somewhat unfamiliar with the holdings at the society and at the court house. She did send me a copy of the notes Randy left with them and a record of Poor House Deaths, 1836-1850. On that list was the name of Henry Ludington, who died March 10, 1847 at the age of 19. There was no other information about him. He doesn't seem to fit in any Ludington family that I know lived in the area but he could fit with Lafayette's family per the 1840 census. There is one male between 10 & 15 whom I cannot name. Henry would fit because he would have been 12 in 1840. Does anybody else recognize this Henry? I am obsessed and just have to go and look for myself....and, to have other Luds along would put the icing on the cake. Who has a 2008 calendar?
