DENBY Joseph Bryan Denby, 65, of the 1800 block of Bluebonnet St., died Jan. 22, 1996, in Norfolk. Mr. Denby was born in Currituck County, N.C., and was a truck driver with E.H. Ives Corporation. He was a member of Laurel Avenue Church of Christ. He was an Army veteran and purple heart recipient during the Korean War. Survivors include a daughter, Kim Ludington of Greensboro, N.C.; three sons, Ricky Denby of Durham, N.C., Jeff Denby of Rougemont, N.C., and Ricky Murden of Barco, N.C.; a sister and brother-in-law, Elsie Ives and Ellis Ives of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Diana McKinney of Timberlake, N.C., Stacey Ludington, Leslie Ludington and David Ludington, all of Greensboro; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Rupert R. Wallace. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. in Westlawn Memorial Park, Elizabeth City. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at his sister's home, 4118 Mingo Trail, Chesapeake, at other times.
