For those not in the know we advise that there are also American Indians ( Klamath Tribe ) appearing in CA census info from the 1870's on that go by the Luddington name. We think they may have come by the name when a Lud from NY moved out there for a time and mated with an Indian girl. As you know some Luds did go out fot the gold rush and even later as emmigrants. We have followed the census trail from 1870 to 1930 and the name consistantly appears. Sandee r u close enuff to that area to do some invetsigating?? Ron Hi, Ron and Everybody, I just happened to think that you did not mention the group of Klamath Indians who are descended from a Lud. That is another group that needs to be explored. Is there any one on the list that researches in the northern California area? SanDee, I think it would be very interesting to learn what you can find on those census records. One of the nicest things about this group is the diversity.
