Hi, Barb, and Everybody, I apologize. I realized I should have asked Barb directly immediately after I sent the note to the list. Because I have a brick wall and cannot get through 1840, I really wanted to find a candidate for the DNA testing from his one son, who had children. I traced that son's male children and male grandchildren to the present time and none are still living. Your dad had brothers. Did they have sons? If not, you can go back to your great-uncles to see if they had sons and grandsons that might be willing to take the test. Good luck, Elaine
