Ron Ron, I would guess that she came with her step-father and mother who immigrated in 1855, according to the 1900 census. Her step-father is Dr. Henry P. Buckland and on the 1860 census, she is listed as Eliza Buckland, age 7, born in England. What is especially interesting about the 1860 census is that it shows Henry P. Buckland, age 32, with wife, Susan and 3 children, all born in England. If Eliza is a Ludington, then it would seem likely that her older brothers are as well. George is 8 and William is 10. 1900 census states that Susan (Cornwall) (Ludington) Buckland had three children and only 1 is living. I did a quick search on the English records for William F. and Susan Cornwall and their children but did not find anything.
