Darci and Mary are members of Colorado River Indian tribe near Blythe CA. They are believed to have descended from James Ludington of CT who left CT to go to the gold fields of CA back in the mid 1800's. He left some descends behind that still bear his name. We can find no other connection to the Luddington names use in CA Indian tribes so we have chosen the above scenario. Several CA census reports show Ludidington names in the various Indian reservations right up to the last 1930 census.
