A sad note! Mary Violet Ludington Smith passed away on March 29, 2007 in Lapeer MI. She was b Nov. 16 1912 in Lapeer co MI and lived there for most of her 94 plus years.. She was a daughter of Lemuel L Ludington (1868-1947) and Myrtle Goodwin. Lemuel was a son of Johnathon, b in Ontario, Canada in 1827 when it was known as Upper Canada. Jonathon was a son of Seth Ludington b NY, 1788-1876. Seth lived to be 88 while his son, Jonathon lived to be 85. Lemuel was 79 and Mary almost 95 so it appears that line had good genes. Seth was my g/g/grandfather. Our condolences to Mary's daughter, Juanita Raymond, of Lapeer MI. Mary was a grand lady and I was fortunate to visit with her on several occasions.
