In my Ludington records I show a Lucy Abigail Ludington being m to a John W Crenshaw in Perry AL in April of 1842. So you may well be descended from that line. They may have had a son called John W Crenshaw who m Anne Stuart and had your father Claire Tappen Crenshaw? This is only a guess on my part as I have few Crenshaw records but it would seem to work?
