Mary Inoue, Scottsdale, Arizona USA Elaine, Trips to the FHC can be frustrating. The problem is old records are scarce and spread out. It would be nice if one particular group from an area farmed them all in but they don't. I have records from the Putnam County Historian as well as the Putnam county Historical Society. I think FHC has done their best to collect as many as possible and they put them on Pedigree Resource files. These files are particularly useful in the Dutchess/Putnam area as the woman who copied the work was the head of the area. She made notes in the file that have been very beneficial to my research. (i.e., she'll note DAR family bible and pages, she'll note, might have moved to Indiana, ...) So these also are a good record to look through wile there. I purchases set 17 Discs 81-85 for my Washburn research. Perhaps you can find some clues in the notes there on files that might contain Luddington names. A sad note. On March 21st, My Father, Robert Eugene Weeks passed away. He was 81 years old, born August 19, 1925 in Mount Kisco, New York. He died from complications due to radiation. It caused aspiration pneumonia which he was to weak to fight. He was the son of Kenneth Teed Weeks and Mary Elizabeth Hultz(s) (The Hults name was spelled with a S until my Grandmother was born and it was changed on her birth certificate for reasons unknown to me- Hults was crossed out and Hultz was written in) Mary was the daughter of Eugene Lawrence Hults and Fannie Washburn. Eugene was born March 1875 in Farmers Mills, Kent, Putnam County NY and died in 1954. Fannie was Born May 1879 in Pawling, Dutchess County NY and died in 1951. Both are buried in Pawling Cemetery. Fannie was the daughter of Daniel Washburn and Sarah Roe. Daniel was born Nov 29 1850 in Beekman, Dutchess County NY and died Oct 23 1928. He is the son of Zebulon Washburn and Syrena Luddington. Zebulon was born May 13 1805 in Carmel, Putnam County NY and died June 13 1863 in Beekman, Dutchess County NY. He Married Syrena in 1834. She was born July 14 1814 and died March 5 1896. Syrena was the daughter of Joseph Ludington and Susan Salmon. Beyond Joseph I can go no further. An obituary will be printed in NY referencing his connection to the Ludingtons and Washburn's. If you happen across it, you will know how it fits in.
