When we ran a similar offer last year record numbers of new members joined and - more importantly - record numbers of 'lost cousins' were found. Already this year we've TWICE broken the record for the most new members joining in one day. Over the next 3 days more people will visit the LostCousins site than will attend the UK's biggest ever family history show (which also takes place this weekend). It's a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to find your living relatives! DON'T KEEP IT A SECRET! Completely free access applies to both existing members and new members, so if you're able, please pass on the good news via forums and mailing lists - after all, the more people who take part, the more 'lost cousins' will be found. [Most matches we find are between new members and existing members - so we're really grateful to all the members who have told others about LostCousins, either informally or using their My Referrals page.] This weekend is a great opportunity to discover living relatives, and we hope you'll make the most of it. Enter as many as possible of the relatives you're able to find in the US, Canada, Scotland, or England & Wales census, then click the Search button. Remember that Ancestry.co.uk now have ALL of the British censuses, including Scotland (see our last newsletter for the 30-day free trial we've arranged - ask for a copy if you don't have the newsletter to hand). Even if you're unable to enter any more relatives you should still log-in, click the Search button, and check your My Cousins page - we've had so many new members join that there could well be a 'lost cousin' waiting to hear from you. Remember too that every single additional relative you enter on your My Ancestors page is an EXTRA CHANCE to find a 'lost cousin'. Don't miss out by focusing just on one line, or just on your direct ancestors. [Our experience has shown that you're most likely to find 'lost cousins' by entering people who are just off your direct line - such as the brothers, sisters, and cousins who had families of their own by 1881.] To log-in at http://www.LostCousins.com you'll need your email address (bluenoser100@hotmail.com) and password. If you can't remember your password click the link below to get an instant email reminder: http://www.lostcousins.com/pages/login/forgotten.mhtml PROBLEMS? JUST ASK FOR HELP If you're unable to find some of your relatives on the 1880/81 Census don't worry - just enter the rest, and then ask us for help finding the more elusive ones. Help from the LostCousins and our team of 'buddies' is ALWAYS FREE. We hope you'll join in our Birthday celebrations and wish you the very best of luck in the search for your living relatives. Do let us know how you get on! _________________________________________________________________ Exercise your brain!
