Clara is survived by one sister, Margaret McKechnie of Charleston, IL; one brother, Vernon Anders of Valparaiso; two grandchildren, Scott and Sara Ludington, both of Indianapolis and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell in 1966, son, Donald in 1992 and a brother, Arthur Anders. Ludington Valparaiso Helen M. Ludington passed away February 4, 2007 at Porter Hospital Valparaiso Campus. She was born on June 15, 1925 in Odell, IL to August and Sylvia (Finch) Vitoux, who preceded her in death. On January 14, 1966 in Valparaiso, she married Max Ludington, who survives her. Mrs. Ludington was a member of the VFW #988 Auxiliary, American Legion #94 Auxiliary and the Eagles Lodge #2517. She is survived by her husband, Max; children: Sandy (Robert) Coolman of Valparaiso, Larry (Ann) Grundell of CA, Garry (Gwen) Grundell of GA, Denny (Janet) Grundell of Valparaiso and Michael (Annette) Grundell of Wheatfield; brothers: Howard and Virgil Vitoux both of Valparaiso; and sister, Velma Landgrebe of Valparaiso; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren. He worked as a log truck driver for the last 20-plus years, driving for many of the local trucking companies, as well as owning his own truck. He was known to many people by his CB handle of "Lugnut." He also was a timber faller, heavy equipment operator and worked in construction. On Sept. 3, 2004, he married Mary Sell in Riverton. Larry enjoyed target shooting, photography, fishing and was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He also spent a lot of time hunting with his hunting partner, Larry Stevens.
