    1. [LUDDINGTON] New park.

    3. A new city park will unveiled some time this fall in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada. Levi Ludington, who we think was a son of Samuel Ludington , a brother to Col Henry Ludington of New York State, will have this new park named after him. Levi (also know as Lewis in Samuel's family records) came to Upper Canada with a friend called Zach Burtch, in early 1800 and both were granted 200 acres of prime land near present day Woodstock now a city of over 40,000 souls. Levi was granted his land on June 1, 1800 and settled in to work it right away. He raised a large family before he passed on ab't 1825 and his children moved about both in Canada and the US. Some of his descendants still live only a few miles from his settlement. When I learn more about the actual dedication ceremony date I will pass the information on. For those of you wondering about Woodstock's whereabouts look at a map of Southern Ontario and follow the 401 freeway between Detroit and Toronto. Woodstock is about half way between the two citys.
