HESPERIA • Jeff Ludington used to wield a gun to rob drug dealers for money and drugs. Now, he wields a bible at the Oasis Church in Hesperia, where he is the lead pastor, helping pull people out of the downward spiral where he used to live. Ludington, 39, was ordained more than five years ago. His hard work to help people of the community overcome their addictions with a Christ-based 12-step program, and his own determination to make a difference in his life has led to the nomination of Ludington as a finalist for the Daily Press 2008 Person of the Year
