EARLY ANNALS OF BEAUREGARD PARISH Ludington This is another village which was built on account of one of the Long-Bell’s mills being there. It is situated on the Kansas City Railroad about three miles north of DeRidder. It was named for a Mr. Ludington of the Ludington, Wells, and Van Schoiek Lumber Co. It has never been changed to any other name. At the present time there is very little of interest to see in this little village because the mills were abandoned years ago.
