Services will be 10:30 Friday July 21, 2006 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Creston. Open visitation will be open 3-8pm Thursday with family receiving friends from 5-8 pm, with a 7:30 Christian Wake service, at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Father Leonard Kenkel will officiate. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are to be established in her name. Ruth “Clare” Luddington was born September 22, 1950 in Memphis, Tennessee to Ruth Clare (Ryan) and Frederick Walton Barnes. She graduated from Clarion High School in Tampa Florida in 1968. On August 9, 1969 she was united in marriage to Steven James Luddington in Las Vegas. She lived all her married life in Creston and worked as an Insurance Agent for Tyler Ins. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and Crestmoor Golf Club. Survivors include her husband: Steve of Creston; one son: Gregory Wade (wife Megan) Luddington of Glenwood; one daughter Lori Lynn Luddington (special friend Quentin Greenough) of Waukee; two brothers: Rick (wife Sandy) Barnes of Tampa, Fla.; Danny (wife Ginny) Barnes of Tampa, Fla.; three sisters: Nancy Kirkpatrick of Laughlin, NV; Barbara Barnes of Tampa, Fla. and Linda Luddington (husband Tom) Northup of Manhattan Beach, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law Shirley Luddington Hill; father-in-law Leo Luddington , brother Larry Barnes and brother-in-law: Jack Kirkpatrick.
