Benjamin F. FLOYD (c1832-1890)Kokomo Gazette Tribune, Wednesday, 10 Dec 1890 Benjamin F. FLOYD died at his home on North Washington Street Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock of paralysis, aged 58 years. The deceased was born in Clinton County, Ohio in 1832. When 23 years of age he removed to Clinton County, Indiana and was married the same year -1855 - to Miss Sarah LUDDINGTON, who died ten years later. In 1866 he came to this city where he has ever since resided. He remarried in 1868 to Mrs. Mary MCRAE, who survives him. Four children were born to them of whom two survive, Clarence and Williard of this city, they being of the former union. During his residence here the deceased has followed the business of contracting and teaming. He formerly affiliated with the Methodist Episcopal Church. Three years ago he was stricken with paralysis which finally compassed his death at the time indicated. Ben FLOYD was a man whom everybody liked, honest and industrious, genial, whole-souled and a good citizen. The funeral occurs at the residence at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon, services conducted by Rev. S.M. JEFFERSON of the Main Street Christian Church. Interment in Crown Point. ==============================
