    3. Christopher P. Ludington Posted: Thursday, June 23, 2011 2:00 pm Christopher P. Ludington, 57, of Morrisville died Thursday, June 16, 2011. He was born in Syracuse, N.Y., graduated from St. Michaels College in Winooski, and spent most of his professional life as chief financial officer of Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe. Chris was a devoted and doting husband, a loving, supportive and inspirational father, and an extraordinary friend to his extended family. He was an avid outdoor sportsman who excelled in running, cross-country skiing, hiking and biking, but nothing was more important to him than his family members, who loved to participate in these activities with him. He cherished the Green Mountains of Vermont, the sandy beaches of Rhode Island and the trails of his children’s cross-country races. He was a true nature and animal lover who spent many an early morning running with his beloved dog and many a late evening savoring a red sunset sky. Known for his quick wit and keen sense of humor, Chris could bring a smile to the face of a fellow Red Sox fan even after a sweep by the Yankees. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Susan; his son, Tyler, of Morrisville; and his daughter, Johannah, of Portland, Ore. His parents, Patricia and Richard, died earlier. A memorial mass was be celebrated Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Church in Stowe. Calling hours were held Monday at Trapp Family Lodge. White-Fiess Funeral Home of Morrisville was in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Chris Ludington Scholarship Fund, in care of John Pike at the Lamoille South Supervisory Union, 202 Copley Ave., Morrisville, VT 05661; or Livestrong at livestrong.org or P.O. Box 6008, Albert Lea, MN 56007-6603.
