Obituaries - 2007 Valerie Tutwiler Valerie "Val" L. Tutwiler, 52, of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Thursday July 26, 2007 at 3:20 A.M. at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. She was born October 19, 1954 in Newton, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Evelyn Fisher Ludington. On December 30, 1995, she married Ronald Tutwiler. She was most recently employed as a Customer Service Sales Specialist at Fort Madison Bank & Trust Co. She was very active in the junior banking programs in the Fort Madison Grade Schools. She previously was employed as an estimator for Lehigh Press Printing in Broadview, Illinois. She was also an Avon representative for the past 4 years. She served as an officer of the Lamoine Valley Chapter of ABATE of Illinois for the past 8 years and was involved with the Big River Rally Committee. She was also a member of the Fort Madison Moose Lodge. She enjoyed riding her HD motorcycle, hunting, working outdoors and spending time on the family farm with her husband. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Jesse Register of Galesburg, Illinois and Wesley Skees of Nauvoo, Illinois, four grandchildren of Abilene, Texas, her step-mother, Becky Ludington of Stronghurst, Illinois, six sisters, LuAnn (Jim) Brakeville of Little York, Illinois, Mary (Paul) Carolan of Tempe, Arizona, Sue Phillips of Dallas City, Stephanie (Ron) Knoedler of St. Ann, Missouri, Cynthia (Neil) McNeely of Mesa, Arizona and Amanda Ludington of Burlington, Iowa, five brothers, Ralph (Katrina) Ludington of Panhandle, Texas, Mark Ludington of Bloomington, Illinois, Charles Ludington of Mesa, Arizona, Scott Ludington of Burlington, Iowa and Ronald (Leslie) Ludington of Stronghurst, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, her father-in-law, sister-in-law and an infant niece. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 30, 2007 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with Pastor Dianne Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the Durham Cemetery, Durham, Illinois.
