"Simeon A. Ludington, 73, died in St. Elizabeth hospital Saturday afternoon. Born in Iowa, he had lived in the Yakima district 22 years and was a farmer. He was a member of the Pentecostal church. Besides his widow, Hattie, survivors include three sons, Vern R. Ludington of Minneapolis and Ivan A. and Emery D. Ludington, both of Yakima; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Headley and Mrs. Grace Ness, both of Yakima, and Mrs. Lena Datko of Seattle; three sisters, Mrs. Iva Wilhelmi, Mrs. Effie Minard and Mrs. Lillian McCoy, all of Iowa; and nine grandchildren. Luddington and Hulda Jane Nier.  Simeon and Hattie are buried at Terrace Heights Memorial Park in Yakima, Washington.  They had seven children: William Curtis Ludington (1900-1900).  William is buried at North Branch Cemetery in Earlham, Iowa. Pearl Kate Ludington (1902-1990), she married Delbert Headley on Apr 19, 1926 in Yakima County.  They had at least 2 children of their own Lena Ludington (1903-2000), she was first married to Victor Datko on Aug 29, 1935 in Coupeville, Washington.  She then married Edgar Evans on August 7, 1949 in Seattle, Wash. Vern Richard Ludington (1905-1993), he was first married to Helen Agge in about 1927, then to Ethel Harris on Apr 22,1939 in Yakima County.  His third wife was Elizabeth Brininstool, and they were married on Feb 13, 1993 in Hidalgo County, Texas. Ivan Albert Ludington (1908-1994), he was married to Katherine Vandenberg on Sep 19, 1928 in Prosser, Washington. Nellie Grace Ludington (1911-1996), she was married to Fred Ness on Dec 14, 1935 in Yakima County. Emery David Ludington (1915-1992), he was married on Nov 7, 1936 in Yakima County to Ruth Rosen.  Emery is buried at Hillcrest Burial Park in Kent, Washington.
