    3. BELL, ANNE LUDINGTON OF QUEENSTOWN Published: September 11, 2011 Sign In to E-Mail Print BELL--Anne Ludington of Queenstown, MD, died suddenly at her home on August 27, 2011. Born on September 26, 1925, in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Charles Townsend and Constance Cameron Ludington. She graduated from the Shipley School and from Bryn Mawr College. In April 1948, she married Samuel Bell, Jr. of Chestnut Hill, PA, and raised their four children in Miami, FL. She volunteered as a nurse's aid at Mercy Hospital, organized a Parent-Teachers Association at Everglades School for Girls, and served as a trustee of Ransom Everglades School. An avid sailor, she spent many years with her husband cruising on their yacht Blue Angel in North America and Europe. Upon retirement, they settled in Queenstown, MD where she served as a volunteer and trustee at the Academy Art Museum in Easton, MD. Mr. Bell died in 2009. Mrs. Bell is survived by three sons, Samuel Bell III, Charles L. Bell and Nicholas S. Bell; a daughter, Tiffany Bell and her husband, Richard Gluckman; a sister Constance Drayton; a brother Townsend Ludington; and, two granddaughters Nell Gluckman and Marina Gluckman. She was predeceased by a sister, Ethel Anderson.
