George V. Ludington | Visit Guest Book LUDINGTON, GEORGE V. George V. Ludington, 65, of Third Ave. Extension passed away at home January 16, 2011. Husband of Carol Mitzak Ludington. Born in New Haven, son of the late Reginald and Dorothy Ludington. Also survived by his children Christine (Mark) McCray, Mark (Eileen) Ludington, and Jamie Lynn Ludington, his grandchildren Zachary, Olivia, and Ty, his siblings Paul (Patricia) Ludington, Joanne Wade, Dorothy (Vittorio) Tralongo, Richard (Carrol) Ludington, Patricia (Mark) Dering, Cynthia (Robert) Marinoff, Regina (Jack) Aiello, Thomas, William, Edward, and the late John Ludington. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Jean Mitzak and many nieces and nephews. Prior to his retirement he worked for DiChello Distributors he was a member of Teamsters Local 443. George was a US Navy Vietnam Veteran and active member of VFW Post 9422 (more so since his retirement), serving as its Senior Vice Commander and a former Post Commander. The hours of visitation will be Thursday from 4-8pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Friday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Lawrence Church at 10am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the VFW Post 9422, attention: Merle, 233 Spring St., West Haven, CT 06516. Another sad obit Barb. I met George at our reunion in New Haven CT in 2001. Geo. Vincent Lud came from the New Haven CT Luds and I have his ancestry back to Wm of 1607 too.
