Ruth Mae Ludington December 11, 2010 Salem News SEBRING-Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at the East Goshen Friends Church for Ruth Mae Ludington, 89, who died at 9 a.m. Dec. 3 at Alliance Community Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks. Ruth was born April, 20, 1921 in Westville, Ohio, daughter of Clarence J. and Effie D. Watson. She lived in Washingtonville, Ohio, for 24 years prior to moving to Crandall Medical Center in October of 2009. A 1938 Sebring High School graduate, she was employed by Jarman Printing Co. until the mid 1950's. She was a faithful Evangelical congregational pastor's wife for 30 years and continued to contribute to area Society of Friends churches after their retirement in 1986. She was preceded in death on Nov. 19, 2009, by her husband, the Rev. Charles S. Ludington, whom she married on Jan. 14, 1955; and by sisters, Marybelle Schenk ; Ilora Simmons and a brother, Clarence "Red" Watson. She is survived by one sister, June Porter; two daughters, Lucinda (Tom) McGough and Robin Ludington; one stepdaughter, Rebecca (Terry) Nusser; six grandchildren and step grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren. The memorial service will be led by son-in-law, Tom McGough and Pastor Gerald Baker. Burial will be at East Goshen Friends Cemetery. 12/11/10
It took a lot of digging on my part but I finally located this lady by looking for Lud families from this area of Ohio. She was a to Chas S Lud a local minister . He was a son of Bernard, Charles, Henry and Zalmon and relates back to the Luds of Dutchess Co NY thru Comfort/Elisha.
