Some interesting info there Rachel. I love to see the Burch and Babbit (Bobet) names because Levi Ludington was m to an Obedience Babbit (Bobet?) and Levi came to Upper Canada with a Zack Burch in June 0f 1800. Zack shows in the 1790 census in the same area of NY St with a Ludington family as close neighbors. I beleive that Sam Lud, Col Henrys' bro was the neighbor and the son some have called Lewis was really Levi. Just rearrange two letters and you have Levi from Lewis. Were these Burch and Bobet names for the same girls ?
