She moved to Custer, S.D., when she was and returned to Wall at the age of 9. She attended school in Wall and at the Mayo school and two years of high school in Custer. Luella married Harold Kunce and later Dale Ludington. She worked as a waitress and was a homemaker. Luella died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at Custer Regional Senior Care Center. She was 75. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Committal services were Jan. 26 at Fort Laramie Cemetery near Fort Laramie, Wyo., with Pastor Joel Higgins officiating.
