    3. Lena "Peggy" Ludington Datko EVANS Born October 19, 1903 in Paradise Prairie WA. to Simeon and Hattie Ludington; passed away July 19, 2000 in Seattle. Peggy was born to a pioneer family and a long line of educators. A graduate of Washington State Normal School in Cheney in 1924 and the University of Washington in 1931, she was a School Teacher for many years, starting in a one room Schoolhouse in Wenatchee and retired in 1970 after many years in the Seattle School District. A member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames, Delta Kappa Gamma Society, Eastern Star Radiant Chapter 207, and the Retired Teachers Association. Peggy also liked to watercolor, taking classes from her good friends, Fred and May Marshall. She and her first husband owned and operated the Neptune Cleaners on Brooklyn in the University District. She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Lois Cook, Norma Rehberg, Joan Giles, Betty McBride, Beverly Rose, Janice Ludington, Jim Ludington, Richard Headly, John Ness and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Preceded in death by her infant son Jimmy Dakto and husbands, Victor Dakto and Edgar Evans. Visitation Sunday, July 23, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Avenue North, Seattle. Graveside Service Monday, July 24, 11 a.m.; Washelli Cemetery. Seattle Times
