The DNA test folks have a special running right now. You can get your y-DNA 12 (males DNA) marker test for $59. That is almost half the usual price.  Let me know if u r interested and I can set it up. Just last year we had a fellow tested and altho his family name has been Ludenton for many years it proved that he really has connections to the Ludington lines and that someone at one time got the spelling mixed up. His Ludenton line first appears in upstate NY in the very early 1800's and we know there were a lot of Ludingtons that had moved into that area by then so his line probably come from one of them. Also does anyone have any new Ludd/Lud obits or birth or marriage records of late?? Ron Ludington
