    3. So we have: John Ludington, died abt 1721     a son, Benjamin Luddington  b?, marrried Ann Taylor in 1711, d 1735          a son, Benjamin Luddington b 1730, d 1798, baptised 1740, Benjamin was used infrequently in the US Luds too. I only see two cases where it is used as a first name. and one as a second name. However several Lud girls married men named Benjamin as a first and last name. I have a Benjamin Luddington (1), son of a John Luddington, (Ben mentioned in Johns will of 1721, so do not have baptism). Benjamin (1), he married a Ann Taylor in 1711, had a son Benjamin (2) in 1730, I have a burial for a Benjamin in 1735, so thought it was the Benjamin (2), I have another baptism for a Benjamin in 1740, the same year as Benjamin (1) will. he mentions his son Benjamin in the will, so I though he was the baptism in 1740. But I found a burial in 1798 of a Benjamin aged 68, making him born 1730. Benjamin is a very rear name for Luddingtons, I think there might be one other only in the UK that I know of. All the above are from Gainsborough, apart from the marriage. Any ideas? Regards               Paul This list is adoptable.
