Harrison himself was well known for his business and political activities. The frame is original, it's in a relatively good condition, with imperfections that you can clearly see on the provided image. On the back there is a handwritten inscription that confirms the identity of the governor. It's quite large, the size, including the frame, is 11.5 by 9.5 inches. I estimate this picture to be from 1860's, but I could be wrong. It's definitely around that period, he was born in 1812 and died in 1891. This portrait was purchased from an estate sale.
