Hi All Think I have it right now on the Benjamin from Lincoln, found a bit more info on the IGI. Benjamin Snr had to children he called Benjamin, the first baptised on 18 June 1730, died4 March 1738. The second Benjamin was born, (this is what I did not have) 28 Feb 1740, baptised 3 April 1740. He must be the Benjamin who died in 1798, the age matching up with the birth of the first Benjamin must be wrong???? Thats my story and I am sticking to it!!!! Regards Paul
Hi Paul and List It was very common that after the death of a child the next child born of the same gender would be given the same christian name. I have a couple of them in my line of Ludds. It is very wet here in Queensland and we are having flooding everywhere. The area affected by the flooding is the combined area of France and Germany and it is still raining. Now that I know a Pink is a type of boat I may have to buy one Regards Gerry in wet and flooding Brisbane ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul Luddington" <[email protected]> To: "Lud List" <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, January 11, 2011 2:30 AM Subject: [LUDDINGTON] Ben Ludd > Hi All > Think I have it right now on the Benjamin from Lincoln, found a > bit more info on the IGI. > Benjamin Snr had to children he called Benjamin, the first baptised on 18 > June 1730, died4 March 1738. > The second Benjamin was born, (this is what I did not have) 28 Feb 1740, > baptised 3 April 1740.
