Neither mom nor i know how to put x in front of our name. please do it for us or tell us how. thks c lacey and Mil. Palmer
When u go back to my orignall request just hit "reply" and when it comes up u can go down to your names and place an X in front. Then hit "send". U can never make changes to a received message unless u hit reply or forward . That makes it a message that u now have control over. When u make changes just send it along . I just had a notice from the Family Tree DNA folks saying the they had found a match to one of our Luddington men. The man mentioned was Stephen Luddington who has passed away a few years ago and who did not match very closely with many of us at the time the test was done. Y-DNA is the stuff passed on from father to son. to son, etc.and Steve's Y-DNA did not match anywhere near most of the Ludd and Lud men which means that at some time the father of one of the his kin was not a Lud. We have no idea when this ocurred or who was the man and probably never will. However Steve does have a match with another person but they will not release the man's name as he does not belong to the Ludington study. As more and more Y-DNA tests are done over the next few years this will probably be a fact that occurs more often as new entries are made and compared to known figures already in the database. Other news........we have had over 25 folks reply to the request to confirm you are still "listening" to the Ludd news.at [email protected] . Thanks for hanging in there and keeping the news flowing with new birth, marriage, and even death info. We are waiting for the 1940 US census figures to come out soon and will then be able to add much to our data base once again. Ron Ludington
