He was also actively involved in the building expansions and bus ministry of the church. During his tenure at Cornell, Dave was the faculty advisor for Campus Crusade for Christ. No this is not her husband but Howard Jerome Ludington who is in my file as a son of another Howard Jerome Lud, a son of Varnum, son of Thomas, son of Joseph who was m to Susan Birdsell,. We believe this Joseph was a son of Comfort Lud of Dutchess Co NY, but cannot prove it. He worked as a volunteer on Governor Nelson Rockefeller's staff during the governor's first campaign for Governor of New York and in subsequent campaigns for Rockefeller's bid for the presidentcy. In 1960, Howard was appointed by the governor to the Commission to Study Rent and Rental Conditions throughout the state. An active church member, he was for several years a trustee and administrator of the First Baptist Church- Fairport.During his business career, he was President of H.J. Ludington, Inc., a morgage investment banking firm, and was president of seveal family owned Corporations. He had served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America and was a life member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of the Genesee Region. Howard joined the Chase Lincoln First Bank in 1983 and was a senior account officer in the Banks mortgage and treasury departments for several years before retirement.He was a longtime member of the Un! iversity Club of Rochester, and of Oak Hill Country Club. He belonged to Seneca Lodge No. 797, F.& A.M.; the American Legion, Dold Doty Magill Post No. 0771 and a life member of the Damascus Shriners.Friends may call at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, Pittsford Palmyra Rd., Fairport (Egypt Location) Tuesday, August 10th from 4-7 PM. Bette DudleyLudington3/26/1943 - 1/6/2011Bette Dudley Ludington, 1943-2011, passed away January 6, 2011 in Roseville, Calif., after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Carl and Ethel Dudley.She graduated from University of Utah with a BS degree in Education and has educated children for over 36 years. The last 18 years she has taught at Warren T. Eich Middle School in Roseville, Calif.Bette is survived by her husband of 47 years, Walter; son, Alan and his fiancé Kim Johnston; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Eric Feliz; four grandchildren, Korbin, Hannah, Donavan, and Tanner.
