Paul was born in Los Angeles, California on August 9, 1915, to his parents, Clifford L. and Ada (Hughes) Roberts. Paul graduated from high school and went on to college, ultimately working as a quality control representative for Cascade Corporation. Paul was predeceased by his daughter, Carole Baugh. In 1969, he was appointed Pastor of St. Susanna at Plainfield. His 25th Jubilee of faithful service to the Archdiocese of Indianapolis was celebrated in 1972. He was later granted leave of absence at his request, then laicization. Until ! retirement, he continued caring for and enabling others as a Regional Director of the Green Thumb project, later known as Experience Works, the Senior Employment Community Service Program of the Older Americans Act.     3. Friday, January 23, 2009 H. KIRK LUDINGTON H. Kirk Ludington of Penn Valley died Jan. 16 in Grass Valley. He was 83. Private services will be held in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Mr. Ludington was born Jan. 29, 1925, in Sandpoint, Idaho, to Harley K. Ludington and Hazel A. Spring. He attended Coeur d’Alene High School, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He served in the Corporal Army Air Corp CBI (China, Burma, India), 1943 to 1946. He married Marion A. Jarvis on March 31, 1951. Mr. Ludington worked for 35 years with Caltrans in highway design. He enjoyed bicycling and camping. Mr. Ludington is survived by his daughter, Page Hensley of Penn Valley; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Trevor (Kathleen) Hensley of Salem, Ore., and grandson, Ryan Hensley of Chico. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion A. Ludington. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary in Grass Valley.

Ruth Mae Ludington December 11, 2010 Salem News SEBRING-Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at the East Goshen Friends Church for Ruth Mae Ludington, 89, who died at 9 a.m. Dec. 3 at Alliance Community Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks. Ruth was born April, 20, 1921 in Westville, Ohio, daughter of Clarence J. and Effie D. Watson. She lived in Washingtonville, Ohio, for 24 years prior to moving to Crandall Medical Center in October of 2009. A 1938 Sebring High School graduate, she was employed by Jarman Printing Co. until the mid 1950's. She was a faithful Evangelical congregational pastor's wife for 30 years and continued to contribute to area Society of Friends churches after their retirement in 1986. She was preceded in death on Nov. 19, 2009, by her husband, the Rev. Charles S. Ludington, whom she married on Jan. 14, 1955; and by sisters, Marybelle Schenk ; Ilora Simmons and a brother, Clarence "Red" Watson. She is survived by one sister, June Porter; two daughters, Lucinda (Tom) McGough and Robin Ludington; one stepdaughter, Rebecca (Terry) Nusser; six grandchildren and step grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren. The memorial service will be led by son-in-law, Tom McGough and Pastor Gerald Baker. Burial will be at East Goshen Friends Cemetery. 12/11/10

    3. LeFEVER, Thomas.... age 77, died Monday at 4:35 p.m. at the Washington County Home. He was born Feb. 16, 1882 in Washington county, Ohio, the son of the late James and Lucy Ludington LeFever. He married Anna Ward. She died Feb. 9, 1932. Mr. LeFever was a retired farmer. One son and three daughters survive, Alvin LeFever of New Philadelphia; Mrs. Jessie Francis of Delroy, Ohio; and Miss Hazel LeFever, and Miss Edna LeFever of the Washington County Home. There are four grandchildren. Mrs Mary Duvall of Dart is a half sister. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Douna & McClure Funeral Home with burial in the Beech Grove Cemetery at Hills P.O. Friends may call at the funeral home.     3. Hillside Cemetery Columbus township, Columbia County, Wisconsin N. Lewis St. on North side of the city of Columbus. Copied from the cemetery records furnished by Gloria Moldscheck. Edited and typed here by Anna Mae Axness 2005. See the Columbus Democrat, May 24, 1872. The upper portion of the present cemetery was laid out in 1846. the land was given to the township by Mrs. Lewis Ludington and was surveyed by Mr.James T. Lewis (later govenor of Wisconsin) and Squire Topplif. Many additions followed over the years. Squire Allen was the first burial in 1845. Many of the early burials are unmarked. In 2005 there are over 6600 burials on record.
