    3.  The DNA test folks have a special running right now. You can get your y-DNA 12 (males DNA) marker test for $59. That is almost half the usual price.  Let me know if u r interested and I can set it up. Just last year we had a fellow tested and altho his family name has been Ludenton for many years it proved that he really has connections to the Ludington lines and that someone at one time got the spelling mixed up. His Ludenton line first appears in upstate NY in the very early 1800's and we know there were a lot of Ludingtons that had moved into that area by then so his line probably come from one of them. Also does anyone have any new Ludd/Lud obits or birth or marriage records of late?? Ron Ludington

    3. Hi All Just put a file in the English History folder on the family site. Elaine has spent a lot of time going through a lot of old books to fine early referances to the Luddingtons in them, and I typed them out for her, (sorry if its not very neat, one finger job). Its quite intresting, some is still in Latin, I will get that translated when I can, uless there is someone who can do it?? enjoy. Paul

    3. This may be of interest to many of you. Ron Ludington ----- Forwarded Message ----- From: Mark Herz <[email protected]> To: [email protected]; [email protected]; 'Ron Ludington' [email protected]; Hello! The piece will air on Weekend Edition this Sunday morning. Right now it looks to be on 9:30a EST/ 6:30a PST-that could change (and there are repeats or shiftings by 2 hours sometimes depending on when your station airs it). For those right in Sybil's neighborhood: I gather you're in a public radio desert (and, of course, our Canadian friends). You can listen online at npr.org (and I've included the link for the series below-Sybil's link is yet to be live, prob. Sunday morning, I'll send that when it's up). Thanks so much to EVERYONE for indulging me and sharing SO much of their time and expertise for this little piece. Rest assured, all that detail and feedback and prodding and recommending is in there in subtle ways, even if it's unheard explicitly. Please pass on to any and all interested parties! Thanks again! 3.  Another reunion was held in Ludington MI from Aug 16 thru 19. Attendance was low but we all enjoyed each others comany. It seemed kinda doomed form the start as my laptop broke down on the first day and I was not able to answer many questions or supply much info for those that asked. Joseph Ludington and wife Tammy and  daughter Daisy, were all new faces to us and we enjoyed meeting them immensley. Paul and Sue were able to get a bragain on a new laptop at the local Walmart and are loading it up with gen info as we speak. Vinnie Daquino was his usual happy self and entertained us with many a tale about the Ludingtons of Dutchess and Putnam NY. Vinnie is looking at a reunion of sorts in the summer of 2012 as Putnam is celabrating its 200th birthday and he would love to have some Ludingtons there to participate in the events. Looking forward to that. Ron Ludington

    2. Actually, I'm not too bad. My knees are bad - probably need operations on both but am not quite ready to admit it. I use a cane when I go out. I still drive to dr's ofice, library and occasionally the grocery store but I use their go-carts to get around the store. Carolyn does most of grocery shopping and the house work. We went to the movie today - The Help. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought it was much better than the reviews said it was. But I'm not up for long drives so we won't be going to the reunion. Our best to you and your family. Love, Mildred and Carolyn
