    3. Christopher P. Ludington Posted: Thursday, June 23, 2011 2:00 pm Christopher P. Ludington, 57, of Morrisville died Thursday, June 16, 2011. He was born in Syracuse, N.Y., graduated from St. Michaels College in Winooski, and spent most of his professional life as chief financial officer of Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe. Chris was a devoted and doting husband, a loving, supportive and inspirational father, and an extraordinary friend to his extended family. He was an avid outdoor sportsman who excelled in running, cross-country skiing, hiking and biking, but nothing was more important to him than his family members, who loved to participate in these activities with him. He cherished the Green Mountains of Vermont, the sandy beaches of Rhode Island and the trails of his children’s cross-country races. He was a true nature and animal lover who spent many an early morning running with his beloved dog and many a late evening savoring a red sunset sky. Known for his quick wit and keen sense of humor, Chris could bring a smile to the face of a fellow Red Sox fan even after a sweep by the Yankees. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Susan; his son, Tyler, of Morrisville; and his daughter, Johannah, of Portland, Ore. His parents, Patricia and Richard, died earlier. A memorial mass was be celebrated Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Church in Stowe. Calling hours were held Monday at Trapp Family Lodge. White-Fiess Funeral Home of Morrisville was in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Chris Ludington Scholarship Fund, in care of John Pike at the Lamoille South Supervisory Union, 202 Copley Ave., Morrisville, VT 05661; or Livestrong at livestrong.org or P.O. Box 6008, Albert Lea, MN 56007-6603.

    3. Good to hear from Mildred out in AZ. She is so correct in saying that old age sucks but for the alternative being much worse, or so they tell me. Always good to hear from our senior members.     Ron Ludington in Florida for a short time. ________________________________ From: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, November 2, 2011 4:37 PM Subject: Re: [LUDDINGTON] (no subject) I can sympathize with both of you. 2. Thanks, Dottie. I finally changed your address in my list too. We had planned to be in Michigan in August, but then big family problems developed & we were lucky to get to Muncie Indiana for a week. Roger has been watching the Series games on TV. His knees are shot also, so he can sympathize with you. Now I have developed fallen arches & much pain in my feet, & that has been quite a shock, as I've always been agile. I know you understand that! I never in my dreams would have thought that I would get to where I couldn't walk around easily! Hang in there, holding onto your knot! Love, Nancy </HTML>

    3. visited Pawling Rural Cemetery yesterday and was sad to see the headstone of Joseph Ludington down and broken. It had been leaning backwards some time back, but the last time I visited it didn't have that backward tilt. I don't know if it had been righted and subsequently broke, or broke and was replanted and then fell again. There should be a piece of the unmarked bottom of the headstone still in the ground. 3. That is sad to see. We had a lot of idiots go thru our cemetery a few years ago and push a lot of stones over including the large Ludington stone that contains all my grand and great grand parents and a brother of mine. A neighbour that has a back hoe and I went over and were able ro raise the main stones and reset them properly.. The weather plays a big enough part in the cemeteries too.   We are working on a reunion next July in Putnam Co. It's the 200th year for them and we are working on getting some Ludingtons to partake in the events. Vincent DaQuino, the Sybil  Ludington writer, is working with the county to put some events together.   Ron Ludington ________________________________ From: Richard Singleton <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, October 17, 2011 2:00 PM Subject: [LUDDINGTON] Joseph Ludington Pawling Rural Cemetery visited Pawling Rural Cemetery yesterday and was sad to see the headstone of Joseph Ludington down and broken.
