The Britannica Dictionary defines "kinsman" - A blood relation. Kinsman is preferred in certain cases on the ground of greater clearness to relative, relation, connection. A man's relative or relation is one who is related to him by blood, as a brother, or by law, as a brother-in-law. The same applies to kinswoman. Mildred

This looks like it mite be Gary Ludington, b 1946 in Ottawa, Canada. His ancestry goes back to the US from the same line that the fellow who died in VT, Chistopher Prentiss Ludington did.. Gary Ludington's father also had the Prentiss name as his middle name. This branch is related to the Nancy Pearl Ludington line all the way back to Nathaniel and beyond. When Nathaniel moved up to upstate NY some of his offspring moved further wesin NY and eventaully over to Canada just as my line did. This surgical process is known as Mohs Surgery. The Mohs Clinc operates in the Parkdale Clinic of the Civic Campus. I am not going to dwell on the details except that I had three surgical processes and a skin graft to my nose over a period of approximately eight hours. It was painless and when I went home I knew that the basal cell had been totally removed. My Thanks to Dr. Mamalak and his staff. However there is a problem – this clinic only operates two days a week. Funding is an issue and yet the province just announced several millions for cancer treatment in Eastern Ontario but SKIN CANCER did not appear in any of the literature. Why not? Skin cancer is not exactly a minor form of cancer. The day I was at the clinic, there were seven people there for Mohs surgey and numerous others for follow up for their past surgery. The only other clinic is in Toronto. Do they only operate for two days a week. No. I have started lobbying my MPP Yasir Naqvi and Premier Dalton McGuinty to increase funding for the Mohs CLinic here in Ottawa and I urge you to do the same. We all pay into the health-care system and a fulltime Mohs Clinic would be a great way to get value for our tax dollars. —- To read how you can be a part of The Bulldog’s Guest Post series, click here. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

Wow this death notice was a real shocker. Chris and I had corresponded on his family lines for quite some time. Did not know he had passed on at such an early age. Ludington Christopher P. Ludington Posted: Thursday, June 23, 2011 2:00 pm Christopher P. Ludington, 57, of Morrisville died Thursday, June 16, 2011. He was born in Syracuse, N.Y., graduated from St. Michaels College in Winooski, and spent most of his professional life as chief financial officer of Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe. Chris was a devoted and doting husband, a loving, supportive and inspirational father, and an extraordinary friend to his extended family. He was an avid outdoor sportsman who excelled in running, cross-country skiing, hiking and biking, but nothing was more important to him than his family members, who loved to participate in these activities with him. He cherished the Green Mountains of Vermont, the sandy beaches of Rhode Island and the trails of his children’s cross-country races. He was a true nature and animal lover who spent many an early morning running with his beloved dog and many a late evening savoring a red sunset sky. Known for his quick wit and keen sense of humor, Chris could bring a smile to the face of a fellow Red Sox fan even after a sweep by the Yankees. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Susan; his son, Tyler, of Morrisville; and his daughter, Johannah, of Portland, Ore. His parents, Patricia and Richard, died earlier. A memorial mass was be celebrated Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Church in Stowe. Calling hours were held Monday at Trapp Family Lodge. White-Fiess Funeral Home of Morrisville was in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Chris Ludington Scholarship Fund, in care of John Pike at the Lamoille South Supervisory Union, 202 Copley Ave., Morrisville, VT 05661; or Livestrong at livestrong.org or P.O. We lived there until April 1891 when my folks moved to Boone Grove. My father, Lewis Fluke Baird, was born Oct. 12, 1839, in Wayne Co., Ohio. He married Cevilla Garman and they had three children, Henry, Howard, and Viola. Cevilla died and was buried in Wayne Co., Ohio. His 2nd wife Eunice Funk died within a year of heart trouble. On Jan. 31, 1883, he married Elisabeth Alice Campbell, she was born Nov. 2, 1853 near Wauseon, Ohio. I graduated from Boone Grove High School in 1902. On Sept. 25, 1906 I married Dick Carlton Ludington. Dick was born April 9, 1882, the eldest son of Joseph Daniel and Samantha Jones Ludington, and passed away Aug. 28, 1933. He had a brother Clarence and a sister Anne Mary. We had two sons Maurice Baird and Lawrence Dale. Maurice was born Dec. 22, 1908 and married Frances May Perrill on Oct. 11, 1931. They live in Boone Grove in the house his Grandfather Joseph Ludington built in 1916. They have three children. I am a member of the Boone Grove Christian Church, in the last 20 years I have missed two Sundays on the account of sickness. My activities include Esther Circle, Church Fellowship and Senior Citizens Golden Year Club. I have also kept a diary since 1902. In the last 7 years I have made comforters for each one of my six grand and twelve great grandchildren. I reside in Boone Grove with my son Lawrence and at ninety-one I am still leading an active life. This summer, 1975, I journeyed by car to Florida and Ohio visiting relatives.
