I have the obituary for Nicholas Saltus Lud taken from the Washington Post in 1966. If you would like to have it, I will send the newspaper copy or will send it e-mail. Mildred
Great Ron. Glad they're back. Now if we could just find Jackie Postlewait. Mildred

Hi, I was waiting for u 2 have the site up b4 I asked. Can I please have an invite. Also did the infor I had on the old site disappear? SanDee
Hi, Fred, You are absolutely correct. It still works that way but I sent out the welcome note with password and username only to those that had requested one. I thought there were others who might be interested but did not want to presume so if a request was not made, then an "invite" was not sent. With you, I am going to presume and send you an email from the site right now...if you don't want it, just hit the delete button. Elaine
Good morning, all, _www.luddington.myfamily.com_ (http://www.luddington.myfamily.com) has been up and running since Saturday morning but very few of those that requested "invites" have visited. I am wondering if there is a problem with the link with password. Are you having a problem accessing the site or is just that you have not had time to check it out yet? Both Rachel and I expect to maintain this site for a very long time and will continually work to enhance the data stored at the site. We hope that many of you will visit and add your Lud documentation. The more that is added, the better this site will be as a research source for Lud puzzles. Please feel free to contact either of us regarding anything about the site, you want an invite, help with uploading data, questions, but try to email us directly. Rachel can be reached at _Bryan.Rachel@worldnet.att.net_ (mailto:Bryan.Rachel@worldnet.att.net) and I can be reached at _DEK623@aol.com_ (mailto:DEK623@aol.com) We look forward to seeing you there, Elaine
OH, WHAT GREAT NEWS. SHE WILL BE SURPRISED TO HEAR ABOUT JJB AND THE DAVID LINE, I AM SURE.

I did not get a notification from the site with the initial password that you have to use. It used to send out a welcome e-mail with a password attached. You, as the starter of the site would also get the password for that particular person. A fellow researcher has discovered a Harvey Luddington , b in USA, age at next birthday 42, living in Grimsby Twp. in the 1851 census for Canada West. This area is now the Province of Ontario, and Grimsby is in the Niagara Penninisula not far from Niagara Falls area. He must have been b about 1810 in the USA. Anyone know of him?? Wiz
Yes thanks for that info. I have all those folks in my big Lud study. Most were decends of Col Henry. Kids and grandkids and their wives. deed 209 should read 1856 on 1056
When I was NY last summer I pulled partial deeds trying to place my Joseph. They did not but here is what I have. Deed help place people in a certain time frame. For example I now know that A Joseph that was not mine was in Illinois by 1856 Partial deed 209 This indenture made the twenty first day of April in the year of our Lord One Thousand and Fifty six between (H)anison Ludington and Frances his wife of the City of Milwaukee and State of Wisconsin ...and Frederick H. Ludington of the town of Kent Putnam County ... Partial no number This Indenture made the twenty first day of February in the year of our Lord on Thousand eight hundred and fifty seven between Cornelia Ludington of the town of Kent County of Putnam and State of NY ...and Frederick Ludington of the Town, County and State aforesaid..... Partial 217 This Indenture made the fourth day of June in the your one Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Seven Between George Ludington and Emeline C Ludington Kent, Putnam and Frederick H. Ludington...of the same... Whole 207 This Indenture made the 24th day of June ...One thousand eight hundred fifty six Between Joseph Ludington of the City of Bloomington State of Illinois....and Frederick Ludington of the town of Kent, Putnam... These go on to mention the land and boundaries.. the only things of significance is one of the borders is lands owned by Frederick and Lewis Ludington...and excluding the Store house occupied by George Ludington...and it also mentions lands formerly owned by Frederick Ludington deceased (Two different Fredericks)..... 219 This is a Deed from Joseph of Il and George deeding him the land mentioned above... Hope this may help some of you placing people because of the dates.... Mary
Thanks--Please also send one to daughter,Gay, and to son, R. Kruse L. at ceo@krusecontrolsoftware.com. Will look foreword to it. LUD
Hi, Lud, Absolutely, we will do that, first thing. I think it will be on Friday. We will just automatically do one for Gay, too...correct? Elaine
DOTTIE SAYS AMEN AND AMEN. COUNT ME IN....IF I CAN FIGURE IT ALL OUT. I WAS HOPING YOU WOULD COME SPEND A MONTH WITH ME FOR I SO WISH I COULD BE THE EXPERTS YOU ARE. YES, THANKS IS INADEQUATE.
Elaine---The job you two do is outstanding--and very appreciated by lots of people-- even though we don't say so often enough. Please send me an "invite" to me to be a member of your group! DDD513@aol.com LUD LUDINGTON, Pelham Manor, NY
Hi, Fred, O.K., it is a "go". I have signed up for a site at MyFamily.com. I named it the Luddington/Ludington Family which is slightly different from your name of Luddington Family. I have asked Rachel Bryan to join me as a site administrator and she has accepted. Over the past couple of years, Rachel and I have worked quite a lot together on Luddington/Ludington research under Ron's direction. He requested/directed and we were glad to do. I think we made a good team there and we will bring the same enthusiasm to this project. We need a few days to get the pages and categories arranged then we will be sending out "invites". Invites are needed because this is site that requires a password for you to enter. Any Lud researcher is welcome to an invite. There is no fee and no obligation of any kind but we hope you will share your Lud documents and pictures so that they can be shown on the site, also. All you have to do is tell us you want to see the site and we will send you an invite with your password. Please do not tell us through this mail list. Contact me directly at _DEK623@aol.com_ (mailto:DEK623@aol.com) or Rachel at _Bryan.Rachel@worldnet.att.net_ (mailto:Bryan.Rachel@worldnet.att.net) I don't think we want to clutter up the list archives with a lot of emails on this subject. I hope we get lots of requests for "invites". Elaine
